BACKGROUND The Information Technology Coalition (ITC) began in the summer of 1996 with the realization that employers in the Jefferson City area, both public and private, shared the common problem of attraction and retaining qualified IT professionals. The coalition began as a cooperative effort between GTE Data Services, Central Bank and the State of Missouri to explore possible solutions. The Jefferson City Area Chamber of Commerce soon became a supporting member offering assistance and guidance. Because of the ongoing need for trained IT employees, the coalition now has twenty employers and has expanded to include nine continuing education institutions to help provide trained IT professionals...and we expect this to continue to grow. job links | whats new | members |
